JoAnn Cornell joined the Asian Pacific American Cultural Center as Director in June 2010. She had served as an academic advisor and assisted with internships in the Liberal Arts Advising Center and previously worked as a career counselor, both at Colorado State University. She has taught career exploration classes, first-year seminars, and co-taught an Ethnic Studies course about Asian American leadership. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Journalism and a Master’s Degree in Education, specializing in Counseling and Career Development, both at CSU. JoAnn and her husband, Mike, live in Fort Collins with their two sons, Sean and Adam (who both enjoy playing competitive baseball).
